Goochland County Public Schools

Goochland County is home to three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school hosting roughly 2,531 students. All schools are fully accredited by the Virginia Department of Education.

Enrichment opportunities include STEM Camp, Children's Engineering, Robotics, Young Explorers, Destination Imagination, and Artist-in-residence program.

Goochland High School has a robust Career and Technical Education (CTE) program, with more than 70% of students enrolled in at least once course. There are 16 career clusters identified for students, with numerous pathways available inside each cluster. Students have the opportunity to take classes such as utility/heavy construction that provide hands on skills and prepares students for certification exam for medium/heavy truck technician or parts specialist.
